North York Moors Walks

There are a multitude of walks of varying distance for all ages and abilities. These include Highlights of Heartbeat Country and a visit to where the Harry Potter Steam Train scenes were filmed. 6, 8, 10 and 12 mile hikes available.

Other options include hiking the Monks Trods and old pannier tracks through ancient woodland including stops along the way to visit cafes, old taverns, waterfalls and a few hidden gems within the park.

Or you might like to visit Mulgrave Woods and the ruins of a mediaeval castle where you can eat a picnic and listen to stories of old before hiking out to visit the gravestone of Giant Wade.

Perhaps you would prefer a smuggling walk in Robin Hood's Bay, including a visit to the Boggle Cave.

For the more adventurous there are wild hikes around Fryupdale Head, Westerdale, a visit to the source of the River Esk and hiking back as you follow the river towards the coast.

These are just some of the myriad of incredible guided walks and experiences available with Rose - locally born and experienced hiking guide and award winning storyteller.

Please contact for other options and any enquiries. All walks are tailored to suit.
